The HTC Incredible S, which was recently showcased for the first time at the Mobile World Congress 2011 at Barcelona, has now been launched in India. The Incredible S now has a dedicated page on the htc.com/in website, which usually happens only after they have launched a phone in India. Even Flipkart has put up the phone for pre-order, at a price of Rs. 26,999, which makes it the most expensive Android phone from HTC in India for now.

The Incredible S is the updated version of the Droid Incredible that was launched last year on Verizon s network and was exclusive to the US market. The new phone, however, will be in GSM and available worldwide. It has a bigger 4.0-inch, 480 x 800 resolution, Super LCD, 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus and duel LED flash, 720p video recording, Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC with 1GHz Scorpion CPU and Adreno 205 GPU, 768MB of RAM and 1.1GB of ROM. The new phone comes with a 1450mAh battery and does DivX/Xvid video playback by default. It also has a newer version of SenseUI but unfortunately still runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, with Gingerbread available as an update later on.
